Holland2Stay is growing! Soon, we'll manage two brand-new buildings in Helmond: Mierloseweg and Markt. Here's everything you need to know about both.
Helmond is a city on the rise, combining a rich industrial history with a rapidly developing center and green, family-friendly neighborhoods. With these two new additions, residents will soon have the choice between two very different, but equally appealing, ways to call Helmond home.

On the Mierloseweg in Helmond West, 36 new homes are nearly complete: 26 apartments and 10 maisonettes, each with one bedroom. With an A++++ energy label, these homes are designed with both sustainability and future-proof living in mind, and residents will share a rooftop terrace with a view over the city. Construction is now in its final stretch, and the first residents are expected to move in from November.
A quiet, green location with everything close by
Mierloseweg is located in Helmond West, about a 20-minute walk from the city center. The neighborhood combines everyday convenience with quiet, green residential streets, with shops, schools, and public transportation all close by.
Right around the corner is Combicentrum Mierloseweg, a lively neighborhood shopping center with a supermarket and a range of local shops. Helmond 't Hout station is about a kilometer from the building, and from there Eindhoven Centraal is around 10 minutes away by train. Prefer the car? The N270 takes you toward Eindhoven in just a few minutes.

Right above the former C&A store on the Markt in Helmond, 44 new rental apartments are taking shape. The ground floor of the former shop is being transformed into 14 homes, while two additional floors are being added on top, each holding 15 apartments. The building's facade is getting a fresh look too, giving this well-known corner of the city center a new lease on life.
This project is part of the wider Helmond Centrum 2030 plan, which aims to bring more housing, and even more energy, into the heart of the city. Bringing 44 new households to the Markt and its surroundings means more visitors for the local cafes, more faces in the shops, and a livelier square overall. Markt is currently under development and is expected to be ready in Q1 2027.
The beating heart of the city
Markt is, quite literally, the center of Helmond. The square has been the beating heart of the city for centuries, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. Living here means being within walking distance of everything the city has to offer.
Just off the square, you'll find Kasteel Helmond, a medieval castle now home to the city's museum, surrounded by a public castle garden with sculptures. Around the corner, St. Lambertus Church has watched over the city center for centuries, with the lively Kerkstraat leading straight into the heart of the shopping district. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the Markt itself fills up with the city's traditional weekly market, selling everything from fresh produce to clothing.
For some green space, Warande park is a short walk away, offering room to relax, cycle, or take a stroll along the water. And with Helmond's train station only about 10 minutes on foot, the rest of the region, including Eindhoven, is never far away.
